New generation of Czech router with WiFi 7

03.11.2025

Our partner CZ.NIC has introduced a new router model, the Omnia NG, which significantly advances the performance and capabilities of home and small business networks. It offers a combination of ultra-fast interfaces, the latest Wi-Fi standards, and open-source software. This router supports up to 10 Gbps WAN/LAN ports, features Wi-Fi 7, and is ready for expansion with a 5G module.

The Omnia NG is ideal for users who want to be prepared for the future - whether it's households with high-speed connections, demanding gamers, smart homes, or small businesses in need of a reliable network backbone.

Thanks to its performance, expandability, and the open Turris OS (based on OpenWRT), the router can serve not only as a router but also as a VPN server, NAS, container server (LXC), or a central network security component.

From the perspective of telecommunications providers, the Omnia NG represents an ideal solution for customers transitioning to 10 Gbps connections or those seeking a secure and long-term supported device.

Security and reliability first

One of the main advantages of Turris routers is their strong focus on security.

The Omnia NG features an automatic update system that ensures the device remains protected without any user intervention.

It also includes Turris Sentinel - an adaptive firewall capable of detecting and blocking attacks in real time based on data from the global Turris network.

Thanks to its open-source nature, users have full control over the system while also benefiting from the long-term support of the Czech development team at CZ.NIC.

Czech development, European quality

The Turris project was created by CZ.NIC, the administrator of the Czech national domain .cz.

Unlike most competitors, the device is developed and manufactured in the Czech Republic, ensuring not only transparency and quality but also the long-term availability of spare parts and software support.

CZ.NIC has long focused on open, secure, and sustainable solutions in the field of internet and networking technologies - the Turris Omnia NG is the next step in this philosophy.
